Since some of our closest comrades are traveling abroad this holiday season, we decide to through a pre-NYE (with champagne, tinsel, and a countdown to boot), so they could have some Mehanata NYE madness before they left. It was awesome.
Burdel Dali is a weekly party at Mehanata Bulgarian Bar in NYC’s LES, orchestrated by DJs Mishto & Raphlex, hosted by Mishka. No cover charge, no dress code, just vodka, rakia, and trans-global music all night! OPA!!
Special thanks to our Mehanata family, to all the crazy mofos who come to dance every Thursday night, to the Escarioka Crew, to Kandake Dance, to Sasho & Tania, to the musicians and performers we’ve collaborated with this year… We love you guys!!
Summer may be over… but our party is just getting started!
We had an amazing weekend upstate in the rolling farmlands, and now we’re back with a vengeance. After you’re done shopping amidst screaming teenie-boppers and getting free samples of perfume and ice cream tonight, leave the FNO madness behind and come party at Burdel Dali en MEHANATA VULGARIAN RESORT & FUNERAL HOME FOR THE YOUNG!
♣ MUSIC! DRINKING! DANCING! GIRLS! BOYS!
♣ LANGUAGE BARRIERS SMASHED!
RAPHLEX & MISHTO have you chalga sex bombs, bhangra beats, Russian festive, Bregovic anthems, Hungarian lullabies, and cumbia over-dose! The formidable Atari-Conga crew have your super-sexy Do-It-Yourself turbo-tropical percussion all night long…

…Wine is cheap, life is short, and history repeats itself.
As belly dance makes a tribal comeback on the dollar-strewn floor of Mehanata and Burdel Dali broadcasts another deliciously saturated re-run of Devdas, anticipation grows for the best summer ever…
We’ve been busy with gypsy camp / gypsy festival plans, mixtape mixing, and hunting the perfect glass of sour lemonade in the LES. So far, Cake Shop wins. Many thanks to our hospitable, talented comrades for a wonderful weekend.
