Skampida at Burdel Dali last weekend was amazing – a huge buffer for the devastation that was about to occur due to our Gypsy Festival being canceled. Thanks to everyone who came out Thursday, and we apologize to our five thousand (at least) fans who were coming for our DJ sets Fri/Sat. ;}

Anyway, SKAMPIDAAAA!

It was Tania’s birthday last week too, so we brought the ultimate pretty Chinatown bakery cake – happy birthday Tania! ♥

I have been always making my own necklaces…since i started wearing a can tab (which has a secret special meaning for me). I kept adding more and more elements… my mother’s gypsy cross and lately a bunch of charms which i found on a street vendors table.

Despite our biggest event of the year being canceled at literally the last possible second, those who came to Gypsy Tabor to camp out for three days of music, booze, and frivolity were not going home without a fight. We didn’t actually do much fighting, but we did a whole lotta music making, hookah-smoking, BBQ-ing, and summer-soaking-up.

Thanks to everyone who stayed in the woods with us, especially the Russian folks with charged guitar amps, everyone who brought drums, flutes, tambourines, Kreptatka Camp for providing us with non-stop hookah all weekend, and Sarah for waving the “FUCK YEAH” flag.
