We would like to formally apologize for the “Gypsy Shit Show” party flier & announcement posted earlier in December.

In this case the term “shit show”, or “a description of an event or situation (…) characterized by a ridiculously inordinate amount of frenetic activity” (UD), was an instance careless poorly-placed slang, referring to the crazed festivity we are used to enjoying at Mehanata while paying tribute to music and dance.

It was in no way meant to insult or draw negative attention to gypsy culture or gypsy people, whom we love, respect and celebrate. An obvious bad call on our part!

We apologize to any and all we offended and we’d like to thank those who brought the matter to our attention.
