An Apology!

We would like to formally apologize for the “Gypsy Shit Show” party flier & announcement posted earlier in December.

In this case the term “shit show”, or “a description of an event or situation (…) characterized by a ridiculously inordinate amount of frenetic activity” (UD), was an instance careless poorly-placed slang, referring to the crazed festivity we are used to enjoying at Mehanata while paying tribute to music and dance.

It was in no way meant to insult or draw negative attention to gypsy culture or gypsy people, whom we love, respect and celebrate. An obvious bad call on our part!

We apologize to any and all we offended and we’d like to thank those who brought the matter to our attention.

Happy Holidays from Burdel Dali Presents! ★ ☆

Мишка, Raphlex, and Mishto would like to wish you a sentimental, red wine holiday, a merry merry Christmas, and the happiest of New Years. Speaking of New Years, you know it falls on a Thursday, right?! PARTEEEEE ★ ☆

Stay tuned for big things in 2010… xx

The Burdel Christmas Fiesta!

If Krampus has any candidates for kidnapping/harassment this year, those crazy gypsies all gathered at Mehanata last night, despite the insane blizzard and the heavy eggnog dosage… We left the lights and decorations behind at the commune to ring in the holidays the only way we know: Good music, pretty girls, and non-stop dancing… ★

We also sent off one of our beloved Burdel members, Michael – we love you & miss you already (some of us more than others, huh huh huh) and we’ll be waiting for our reunion, brothaaa… xx

Burdel Chaplin?

An amazing Burdel Dali Presents last night, with cameos by the elegant dancer Yoko and freaking Charlie Chaplin herself. As if that wasn’t enough, a pair of blinking green glasses surfaced and shit hit the fan…
